Every year our Chapter along with Wayne County Parks and Recreation offer residents of Wayne County the chance to fish for newly stocked Rainbow Trout. This annual event is one of the most enjoyable events of the year. Literally hundreds of kids from ages 1 week to 12 years are allowed to fish for free and without the need of a fishing license. Three prizes are given to kids from three different age groups. Chapter 528 donates $500.00 to help buy the fishing poles, tackle boxes, fishing nets and other appropriate items and to help stock the area with trout. One of our own members, Dave Reeves takes the largest fish caught and mounts the fish for the winner.
